Pimara Paul Koehler (and PK Associates, our partner firm) is pleased to be the structural engineer for this 408,000 GSF hospital replacement project designed in collaboration with SmithGroup, the Indian Health Service, and the White Mountain Apache Tribe. The new tribally-operated hospital will be built on the 14-acre site of the existing hospital, which will remain operational throughout construction. Working closely with IHS and the Tribe, this hospital embodies engineering innovation, cultural expression, and generational care. The project's unique architectural and functional design choices have been developed to ensure the new hospital reflects and carries forward Apache culture, identity, and values for generations to come.
