Consisting of two new buildings, the Cultural Repository provides areas to perform the function of safely preserving and storing artifacts, collections, and records. The 27,226 SF main building includes administrative offices, education space, environmentally controlled collection and storage areas, special archive rooms, and laboratories for preparing and processing museum exhibit items. The main building is designed to accommodate the planned 6,000 SF expansion. A separate 2,644 SF building provides collection and ceremonial space for the NAGPRA (Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act).
